How do I book?

While we can take bookings over the phone and email, the quickest way to secure a time and day that suits you is by booking online.

You will receive a reminder message the day before your booking, along with a confirmation email that has a link that will allow you to easily change or cancel your appointment if something comes up.

Before booking with Cooly Pet Spa, you’ll need to review and agree to the cancellation policy.

How long will it take to groom my dog?

The grooming process typically takes 2-3 hours, depending on your dog’s coat condition and temperament.

We will provide an estimated time frame for when your dog will be ready and will send you a text message as soon as they are ready to be picked up

How often should I get my dog groomed?

Accepted Answer

The grooming schedule for your dog depends on their coat type, the length of their haircut, and how well you maintain their coat at home.

For short clips, grooming every 6-8 weeks is usually sufficient. If you prefer a longer clip, more frequent maintenance is needed, so we recommend grooming every 4-6 weeks.

Alternating a ‘Hygiene Tidy’ or ‘Bath & Blow Dry’ helps to achieve the fluffy longer length “Teddy Bear” style.

What happens if my dog is over the maximum 15kg/40cm?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate medium to large dogs in our small salon.

If you book an appointment for a dog over 15kg and bring them in, we will have to refuse service and require full payment for the appointment.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated before coming in for a groom?

For the safety of all the dogs in the salon, your dog must be up to date with all vaccinations, as well as worming, flea, and tick treatments.

Question 9

Do you clip and scissor cut double coats, such as Pomeranians?

Accepted Answer

We do not offer clipping and all-over hand scissoring of double coated breeds. This is due to risks such as irreversible coat damage, clipper alopecia and bald spots.

We recommend a De-Shed and Tidy of the pants, feet and hygiene areas.

Do you offer doggy daycare?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, No. We operate as a one-on-one service and like to keep the salon as quiet and calm as possible.We will send a message when your dog is ready to be picked up.

Question 11

Can I stay with my dog for the groom?

Accepted Answer

We understand that being away from your pup in a new environment can feel difficult. However, we’ve found that dogs behave best when their owners are not present.

Having you stay can be distracting for both the dog and groomer, and may also pose a safety risk, especially when sharp tools such as scissors are being used near sensitive areas.

We are running late, can we still attend our scheduled appointment?

Accepted Answer

If you arrive late, it may impact the rest of the day’s appointments. To ensure we don’t have to rush clients following your session, we may need to adjust your service depending on the remaining time. For example, we could offer a hygiene appointment or bath and blow dry, based on how late you arrive. Late fees may also apply.

Please note that you will still be charged for the originally booked appointment, and if you need a full haircut, you will have to schedule it for another day.

How do I cancel or reschedule my booking?

Cancelling appointments online is quick and simple! You’ll find the cancellation link in your confirmation email. Alternatively, call or text the salon on 0403667188 within 24 hours of your appointment.

Before booking with Cooly Pet Spa, you’ll need to review and agree to the cancellation policy. Please note that same-day cancellations will incur a $50 fee.
