At Cooly Pet Spa, we care about your dog’s safety and well-being. Every effort will be made to make your dog’s visit a safe and happy one. Prior to having your dog groomed at Cooly Pet Spa, please read and agree to the following Waiver, Liability Release and Terms of Service.
Cancellation and No Shows: Please provide 24 hrs notice if you are unable to keep or need to reschedule your appointment, otherwise you may incur a $50 cancellation fee.
Late drop off and late pick up: We rely on clients arriving on time to keep the day running smoothly. Please let us know if you will be more than 15 minutes late as we may need to re-schedule and a last-minute cancellation fee may apply. Unless otherwise arranged, we ask that dogs please be picked up within 30 minutes of being notified.
Duration: Grooming appointments are generally 2-3 hours. We do our best to stay on schedule. We will call or text when your dog is ready.
General handling and accidents: Please understand that we are working with live animals. Although caution and care is taken in all situations, and problems are rare, there is always the risk of accidents. It is possible for the grooming process to expose hidden medical concerns or inadvertently aggravate existing conditions. Matted coats and difficult behaviour increase the risk of problems and accidents.
Disclosure for Grooming:
Vaccinations/Insurance/Health of Dog: I warrant my dog is up to date with vaccinations, has current insurance and is in good health to the best of my knowledge.
Aggressive Dogs/Parasites: We reserve the right to refuse service, or to stop service in progress, if your dog poses a threat to themselves, other dogs or staff, either by showing aggression/behaviour issues or any health problem.
Owner Responsibility: I agree to be solely responsible and liable for any and all acts of behaviour by my dog(s). If my dog is hurt, becomes ill or injures another
dog, Cooly Pet Spa reserves the right to administer first aid and procure veterinary services if necessary. If my dog receives treatment, medication, or other attention I agree to pay all expenses directly to the veterinarian and will not hold Cooly Pet Spa liable for any resulting expense.
Matted Coat: I agree that if the dog is presented in a “matted” condition, I give consent to remove/shave out matts if unable to be brushed out. While the groomer will exercise caution and their duty of care, I am aware that risks are involved with removing matted and/or neglected coats. Some risks are skin irritation, clipper rash and nicks. I agree not to hold Cooly Pet Spa responsible for any injuries, which might result from this grooming process.
Shaving Double Coats: I am aware and acknowledge the risks associated with shaving/clipping a double coat which can lead to irreversible coat damage, clipper alopecia and bald spots. I will not hold Cooly Pet Spa responsible for any coat damage to my dog. (Double coated breed examples are Labradors, Border Collies, Huskies, Golden Retrievers, Pomeranians)
Ageing and Special Needs Dogs: I am aware that as a dog ages or if the dog has medical conditions, the process of grooming may become stressful, both physically and mentally. Although we take responsible care, I acknowledge that the stress of grooming may initiate immediate or latent medical problems. I agree not to hold Cooly Pet Spa responsible for reactions to grooming.
Additional Charges: We reserve the right to charge additional fees. This could be difficultly in grooming due to behaviour and coat condition.
Photography: I agree to give Cooly Pet Spa the right and permission to use photos of my dog taken while in care for social media purposes.
Release of Liability: I agree and understand and hereby release Cooly Pet Spa, financially or otherwise, for injuries to my dog, myself, or any property of mine whilst my dog is participating in services or on site.
